Approving Updated Board of Park Commissioners Rules of Procedure and Basic Policies (Citywide)

 

Body

WHEREAS, pursuant to Madison General Ordinances Section 33.05(3), the Board of Park Commissioners is required to adopt Rules of Procedures and Basic Policies, which may be amended from time-to-time by the Board; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Board last updated its rules in 2025 (File No. 89417); and,

 

WHEREAS, in 2025 following the Board’s update of the rules, the City Attorney advised staff City-wide of MGO 33.01(7)(a) requiring elections of chair and vice chair for all committees and subcommittees by June 30 annually; and,

 

WHEREAS, per MGO 33.01(9)(b) review and revision of Board rules must be completed and filed with the City Clerk by July 1 of even-numbered years; and,

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that, pursuant to MGO Sec. 33.05(3), the Board of Park Commissioners hereby approves the updated Rules of Procedures and Basic Policies governing the Board, which updated rules are attached hereto and incorporated herein.
