The proposed Professional Services Agreement with Baxter Woodman for professional engineering services for design and construction of the Upgrade of Booster Pumping Station 115 will not exceed $110,000. Funds for this project are included in the 2014 Water Utility Capital Budget, EW01-58599-810458.

Body
WHEREAS: The area around the Utility’s Bunker Hill Reservoir has experienced chronic low pressures and the Utility proposes to convert this area to Pressure Zone 3, the Utility desires to improve reliability of its Bunker Hill Booster Pumping Station (BPS 115) by adding a standby generator, and the Utility desires to provide a redundant supply crossing of I-90 from the BPS 115; and

WHEREAS: Madison Water Utility has identified this need and this project in its Water Master Plan and has budgeted for this work in the 2014 Capital Budget; and

WHEREAS: Madison Water Utility has advertised for, received, and evaluated professional engineering consultant proposals for the work, and based on the recommendation of this process, the Water Utility Board has selected Baxter Woodman for this work;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement not to exceed $110,000 with Baxter Woodman for facility design, permitting, public participation support, preparation of drawings and specifications, bidding services, and construction administration services for the design and construction of the Upgrade of Booster Pumping Station 115.
