Body
DRAFTER’S ANALYSIS: Section 2.05(6) of the Madison General Ordinances provides that resolutions must be sponsored by a member of the Common Council or the Mayor or both. This ordinance allows resolutions relating to position reclassifications, position creations and deletions and the City’s Deferred Compensation Plan to be directly introduced and sponsored by either the Personnel Board or the Director of Human Resources. This change is similar to the direct introduction and sponsorship of resolutions granted to the Board of Public Works in Section 2.05(6)(j).
