Position #675 is currently classified as a Clerk Typist 1, Compensation Group 20 and Range 03, underfilling a Clerk Typist 2 position, so the reclassification for this position will be a four-step increase to Compensation Group 20, Range 07. The estimated additional cost in 2012 for this reclassification is $1,557 in salary expense, plus benefit expense of $565, or a total expense of $2,122. Position #657 is classified as a Clerk Typist 2, Compensation Group 20, Range 06, so the reclassification will be a one-step increase to CG 20, Range 07, with additional salary expense in 2012 of $689, plus benefit expense of $250, or a total expense of $939. The additional funding for both positions can be accommodated within the Building Inspection operatiing budget. The full additional annualized cost for the reclasses is estimated to $4,685 for salary expense (plus $1,766 for benefits) for position #675 and, for position #657, $1,342 in salary expense (plus $487 for benefits).
