Fiscal Note

The 2012 Adopted Operating budget of the Community Development Division (CDD) includes funding of $101,285 for the salary of the CDD Director, plus benefit expense, which is sufficient to accommodate the provisional appointment.

Body

WHEREAS, Mr. Bill Clingan, Community Development Division Director, is retiring from City of Madison employment; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Clingan's last day of work will be March 2^nd, followed by 4 weeks of vacation prior to his retirement on March 30^th, and

WHEREAS, a provisional appointment has been made to provide overlap before Mr. Clingan's departure from the City, causing a double-fill in excess of the thirty (30) days, which is authorized by Madison General Ordinance;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the double-filling of the Community Development Division Director position in the Community Development Division is approved for a period February 16, 2012 through March 30, 2012.
