Authorizing the execution of an Underground Electric Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a City of Madison Water Utility property located at 1133 Moorland Road. 14th Ald. District.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Water Utility is constructing a new well facility at 1133 Moorland Road; and
 
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company will be extending underground electric service to the new City Water Utility well facility; and
 
WHEREAS, MG&E has requested a ten (10) foot wide underground electric easement ("Easement") across the City Water Utility property to provide electrical service to the new well facility; and
 
WHEREAS, the City Water Utility has reviewed and approves of the Easement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Easement with Madison Gas and Electric Company for the Easement described as follows:
 
A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in Lot 4, Certified Survey Map No. 1698, recorded as Document No. 1430131, in Volume 7, Pages 61 and 62 of Certified Survey Maps, Dane County Register of Deeds, lying part of the SE¼ of Section 36, Town 7 North, Range 9 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of said strip being more particularly described as follows:
 
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Lot 4; thence S60°47'07"E along the Southwest right-of-way line of Moorland Road, 76.35 feet to the point of beginning; thence S35°50'25"W, 60 feet to the point of termination.
 
The Easement is depicted as set forth on attached Exhibit A, dated September 15, 2005.
