PREAMBLE
The City is proposing to remove and replace to replace the existing bus shelters around the Capital Square. The existing seven shelters will be removed and the following locations will have new shelters installed: The following five shelters will be removed and will have new shelters installed:
1. Mifflin Street at State Street
2. Mifflin Street at Hamilton Street
3. Main Street at Hamilton Street
4. Pinckney Street at King Street
5. Main Street at King Street (provided additional sufficient funds are secured in the 2007 budget if needed available)
The following two remaining bus stops will have the existing shelters removed and benches installed. However,tThe Purchasing Division will be requesting bids for 5 shelters with an optional addition of 2 more shelters. The Council will have the opportunity to award a contract for either 5 ,6 or 7 shelters depending on bids received and available funds.The two remaining shelters will remain in service until the Council awards a contract, at which time a decision...
