Ordering Property Owners to Install Sidewalk in the 16th Aldermanic District. (16th AD)

PREAMBLE
To enhance pedestrian travel along the west side of South Stoughton Frontage Road and provide pedestrian access, approximately 1000 feet of sidewalk will need to be installed to match into existing sidewalk.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the property owners of the property hereinafter described be hereby ordered to install sidewalk or parts thereof, hereinafter described, in full compliance with the requirements of the City Ordinance governing such construction. Firm arrangements for such construction shall be made by the date specified on the Sidewalk Notice, and that if arrangements are not made by the aforesaid date, the City of Madison, will cause such sidewalk to be installed and charge the cost hereof to the property in front of which the walk is laid, and such cost, unless previously paid, will be collected as a special tax against the property in front of which the walks are installed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for the said improvements.
