The proposed resolution approves plans and specifications and authorizes the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the Castle Creek Channel Improvements at Warner Park. The total estimated cost of the project is $1,522,000. Funding is available in the 2026 Adopted Stormwater Capital Budget in the Stormwater Quality System Improvements (Munis #13863). No additional appropriation is needed.

Title
Approving plans and specifications and authorizing the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the Castle Creek Channel Improvements at Warner Park. (District 12)
Body
This project will re-grade and restore approximately 2,100 linear feet of channel to improve channel conveyance to the existing Castle Creek Channel from Sherman Ave to Warner Lagoon. The project also includes addition of storm sewer catch basins near Sherman Ave and ecological restoration of the channel with native vegetation. Anticipated construction costs include grant funding in amount of a $250,000 from the Wisconsin Emergency Management Pre-Disaster Flood Mitigation grant program (RES-25-00659).
BE IT RESOLVED,
1) That the plans and specifications for the Castle Creek Channel Improvements at Warner Park, be and are hereby approved.
2) That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.
3) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
