Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes accepting funding from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on behalf of the Division of Public Health to support the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Specifically, PHMDC proposes accepting $7,500 to implement the Buddy and Facebook Program Pilots in order to provide additional breastfeeding support to WIC participants who are pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Under the terms of the merger agreement, the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County may authorize PHMDC to accept and spend grant funds (IGA, VII, F, 1-3).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison Dane County, on behalf of Public Health-Madison and Dane County, authorizes the Director of Public Health enter into and sign an agreement accepting $7,500 for implementation of Buddy and Facebook Program Pilots as part of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children.
