Amending Section 33.24(3)(g) of the Madison General Ordinances to allow the alternate on the Urban Design Commission to sit on other City committees.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This amendment allows the alternate on the Urban Design Commission to represent the Commission on other City committees.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
Subdivision (g) of Subsection (3) entitled "Commission Composition And Terms" of Section 33.24 entitled "Urban Design Commission" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by amending or adding therein the following:
" (g) In addition to the members above-mentioned, the Mayor may appoint upon an annual basis a citizen to be an alternate member of such Commission to act with full power when any other member of the Commission is absent or refuses to act because of conflict of interest. Alternate members may serve as the Urban Design Commission representative on other City committees."
