Fiscal Note
The 2008 Adopted Parks Capital Budget (Project #18, page 295) authorized $200,000 of expenditures for the Elver Park Snowmaking Equipment Project. Funding of $150,000 was anticipated from a donation from the Madison Community Foundation, supplemented by $50,000 of funds to be raised through the sale of a parcel of Elver land. This resolution raises total project authorization by $40,000 to a new total of $240,000, and also removes the land sales requirement of $50,000. The resulting funding gap of $90,000 is to be filled by the transfer of $50,000 from Project #9 "Parks Matching Fund", the donation of $20,000 from the Madison Nordic Ski Club, and the receipt of $20,000 of unidentified donations. If the donation of the additional $40,000 of funds does not materialize, the Parks Division will prepare an amendment transferring in the remaining funding from another Parks capital project.
