Fiscal Note

The Ordinance will allow for the use of multi-space meters on City streets in lieu of the current single space meters. The multi-space meters will provide more pay options such as credit cards, and will enhance Parking administrative efficiencies by reducing the number of meters that require coin collection, maintenance and replacement. The Parking Utility 2007 Executive Capital budget includes funding of $160,000 for the installation of 15 multi-space meters in 2007 as part of a Pilot program to more fully evaluate the costs and benefits of multi-space meters.
