Funds for the salary of the Interim Alderperson for District 13 are available in the Commom Council 2014 Operating Budget.
Title
Appointing Lucas Dailey as Interim Alderperson for District 13 to serve until the Spring 2015 election.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council Organizational Committee met on April 22, 2014 to make a recommendation on the appointment of an Interim Alderperson for District 13 according to the procedures outlined in Madison General Ordinances 2.03; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council Organizational Committee reviewed the resumes submitted and interviewed the applicants; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council Organizational Committee recommends that Lucas Dailey be appointed to fill the vacated District 13 aldermanic seat; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council shall appoint and confirm the recommended candidate, or appoint and confirm another candidate among the applicants per MGO 2.03(4),
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Lucas Dailey is hereby appointed to the position of Interim Alderperson for District 13 effective April 29, 2014 to serve until an election is held in the spring of 2015 and a qualified District 13 Alderperson is elected and seated on April 21, 2015.
