Fiscal Note
This grant will be accounted for in a segregated fund (SG59). The City is required to provide matching funds of $13,575 for the fringe benefit costs (FICA and WI Retirement Fund) associated with the overtime funded by this grant. Current projections indicate that Police Department expenditures will exceed the 2005 Adopted Budget. In March, the Council adopted RES-05-00294 authorizing an overhire of three police officers. Rather than appropriate funds ($110,995) from the Contingent Reserve at that time, the Council amended the resolution to appropriate funds later in the year, subject to a third quarter review of the 2005 Police Department Operating Budget.
