Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes the creation of a Real Estate Development Specialist 4 (RED 4) position in DPCED Office of the Director's 2026 Operating Budget. Similar to the other RED 4 position housed in the Office, this new position will be fully allocated to the CDA Fund. The position will be created in Comp Group 18, Range 12. The estimated cost of the position for the remainder of 2026 is $34,200 including benefits (est. start date of 9/27/26). The estimated annual cost is $129,400.
Funding for the position in 2026 will be funded by salary savings within CDA Redevelopment. The CDA Fund is funded through reimbursable expenses for specific construction projects, tax credits for development projects, and federal sources; there is no impact on the City's General Fund. Position authority and sufficient budget for the position will be included in future operating budgets. No additional appropriation required.
