Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution approves plans and specifications and authorizes the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the Badger Lane Lift Station Replacement. The total estimated cost of the project is $1,659,000 funded by the City of Madison ($1,104,894) and the City of Fitchburg ($554,106) based on each City's percentage of the lift station service area within each jurisdiction pursuant to an intergovernmental agreement authorized under RES-22-00729 (Legistar #74023). The City of Madison will initially fund the project with the City of Fitchburg providing reimbursement upon substantial completion. Funding is available in the 2026 Adopted Sewer Utility Capital Budget (Munis #14625 - $1,659,000). No additional appropriation is required.

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:

 

1.                     That the plans and specifications for Badger Lane Lift Station Replacement, be and are hereby approved.

 

2.                     That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3.                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
