Fiscal Note
In the adopted 2016 capital budget, Engineering Major Streets has budgeted $2.18 million for the replacement of deteriorating streets under the major project Reconstruction Streets (MUNIS 10226). Minor project for the Jenifer, Paterson, Brearly, and Few Street reconstruction (MUNIS 10214) is established for the work pertaining to the contract in the proposed resolution. The funding for the project is predominately GO borrowing with other funding from special assessments.
The proposed resolution awards the contract at a total estimated cost of $3,739,720. The breakout of this total cost is split amongst agencies as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
