Body

WHEREAS plans and specifications prepared by Strang Associates, Inc. dated April 18, 2006 provides details for remodel construction consistent with the plan, and,

WHEREAS the 2005 and 2006 Capital Budget includes funding for remodeling of this building and a contractor must be hired to complete this project, and,

WHEREAS the total contract compensation for construction by Joe Daniels Construction Company is $18,073, and,

WHEREAS Joe Daniels Construction Company is the low bid that meets the needs of the project; and Section 3.61(5), MGO, authorizes the Purchasing Agent to sign contracts for purchase of services when the total cost of services is $25,000 or less, and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to enter into an agreement with Joe Daniels Construction Company to provide remodel construction at the Health East Washington Office located at 2705 East Washington Avenue.
