Report of the Mayor submitting citizen committee appointments (introduction 6-6-2006; action 6-20-2006)
Body
I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen appointments. "Statement of Interests" forms are on file in the City Clerk's Office for those citizens required to file.
ALLIED AREA TASK FORCE
*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.
Pursuant to Sec. 3.27(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, “ … provisions of this section shall not necessarily apply with reference to membership on special study committees where in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of certain nonresident members who are particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience … .”
*BARRY E. HAYES, 4605 H Crescent Road, Fitchburg, WI - appoint to the position of Allied Resident - Alternate Member. He succeeds Shaun Jackson.
Rationale: Mr. Hayes is a long-time resident of the community and serves on the Allied Drive/Dunn's Marsh Neighborhood Association.
STEPHAN D. USELMAN, 4349 Lilac La., 53711 (10th A.D.) - appoint to the position of Allied Resident - Alternate Member. He succeeds Randolph Copeland. Mr. Uselman is a commercial building designer for All Construction & Design, Inc.

MICHAEL W. REWEY, 5522 Comanche Way, 53704-1026 (18th A.D.) - reappoint to a two-year term to the position of Board of Public Works Representative. First Appointed 3-30-1999.
