PREAMBLE

The City is proposing to reconstruct State Street from Park Street to Lake Street in 2014.  The consultant's services will include Preliminary Design services & the completion of Final Plans & Specifications.  

Pursuant to City Ordinances and Policies, the City Engineer advertised for consultant proposals, reviewed the submitted proposals, and recommends the design engineering contract be awarded to MSA Professional Services, Inc  

The City of Madison and Dane County are participating in the design and shall cost share the design engineering contract.  

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and agreement with MSA Professional Services, Inc. for design engineering services for the 700 & 800 Blocks of State Street, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement(s) with the University of Wisconsin-Madison for cost sharing on the project.
