Amending adopted Resolution 03426 to expand the number of steering committee and business representatives to be appointed and to allow alternates to be appointed to serve on the SW Neighborhood Steering Committee.
Body
WHEREAS the CDBG Commission and Office designate portions of census tract 4.04 and 5.01 to receive planning services from the Planning Unit in 2007; and
WHEREAS the Common Council approved the selection of portions of census tract 4.04 and 5.01 (Southwest) as the focus for a concentration neighborhood planning process and the appointment of a steering committee of residents and business representatives to help develop a neighborhood plan for the area on May 18, 2006 (File No. 03426); and
WHEREAS the resolution directed the mayor to appoint a steering committee of seven residents and two business representatives to help oversee the development of a neighborhood plan and report back to the Common Council by January 2007; and
WHEREAS the expansion of the steering committee to include additional neighborhood representatives, businesses representatives, and multifamily owners/managers within the planning area will ensure greater input to the planning process.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the mayor is directed to appoint a steering committee of neighborhood residents, business representatives, and multifamily representatives and neighborhood alternates to help oversee the development of a neighborhood plan and report back to the Common Council by the end of February 2007.
