Fiscal Note
This resolution authorizes the creation of a new EAP Specialist 2 position in the Human Resources 2012 Operating Budget. The position may be underfilled as an EAP Specialist 1. The cost for the remainder of 2012 is dependent on whether the position is underfilled and the hiring date. The cost for the remainder of 2012 can be estimated at $35,000 (or $47,700 including benefits) and is available in the 2012 Human Resources budget provided that the agency does not fill the vacant Compensation and Benefits Manager position identified as a likely elimination in this reorganization. (This position is vacant because the incumbent is currently appointed as the Personnel Services Manager. See I.D. No. 25466 which recreates the Personnel Services Manager position as a Human Resources Services Manager.) The projected annualized cost is $60,000 (or $81,800 including benefits). Funding in the future for this position is projected to be realized through savings from the elimination of the Compensation and Benefits Manager position.
