Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes executing a grant agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) for a $5,000 Wellness Program grant. The proposed resolution further amends the Department of Civil Right’s 2026 adopted operating budget to appropriate $5,000 in agency revenues and corresponding expenditures for the designated purpose outlined in the resolution. It is not a general purpose revenue; therefore, it does not impact the Expenditure Restraint Incentive Program (ERIP).

Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Civil Right’s (DCR) Department Equity Team has been working to rebuild trust and relational repair in the Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) awards Wellness grants to support employer efforts at promoting overall employee health and wellness; and,
WHEREAS, DCR was selected to receive the maximum amount of grant funding available ($5,000) as requested in our grant application to ETF’s Well Wisconsin Wellness Grant; and,
WHEREAS, a $5,000 infusion of grant funding will support DCR’s efforts at rebuilding a healthy work place for Department employees; and,
WHEREAS, the grant will be used during 2026 to purchase the services of an outside consultant with expertise in relational repair.
NOW, THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept and execute the terms of the Wellness Program Grant with the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds; and,
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Department of Civil Rights 2026 adopted operating budget is hereby amended to appropriate $5,000 in agency revenues and corresponding expenditures in the General Fund.
