Request by AT & T for a public hearing regarding the installation of lines on beginning in existing AT&T cabinet located at the Intersection of Odana Lane and Odana Court heading southwest, across Odana Lane to the north side of Odana Lane placing the cable under the sidewalk  for 433’ to ROW on the east side of Whitney Way then going south 100’.

Body

AT&T will be extending its fiber optic network within the City of Madison during the

months of April through October 2009.  This work is being done in order to enhance existing facilities in the Madison Area.

 

There will be a public hearing, before the City of Madison Board of Public Works, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 108 of the City-County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Madison, WI.

 

Cable installation contractors hired by AT&T will install buried fiber optic cable within the roadway limits at the following location:

 

      1. Beginning in existing AT&T cabinet located at the Intersection of Odana Lane and Odana Court heading southwest, across Odana Lane to the north side of Odana Lane placing the cable under the sidewalk  for 433’ to ROW on the east side of Whitney Way then going south 100’.

 

The fiber cable will be directional bored and placed in the public ROW. 

 

Restoration of any damage within the limits of the road right-of-way will be completed in accordance with the City of Madison’s standard specifications.  All damaged sidewalk slabs will be replaced with 5” lift concrete.  All damage done to grass between sidewalk and curb will be restored with a four inch covering of black dirt and seed.  All restoration required within the traveled portion of the roadway will also be completed in accordance with the City of Madison’s standard specifications.
