Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes a $300,000 contract between the City of Madison and the Center for Community Stewardship (C4CS) for the provision of the attached scope of services, which provide technical assistance and organizing for business cooperatives. This contract is funded by the $300,000 included in the Economic Development Division’s 2022 adopted capital budget for the Cooperative Enterprise Development capital program. No additional city appropriation is required for the proposed resolution.

Body
WHEREAS, the City has invested in the creation of the Madison Cooperative Development Coalition (MCDC) to provide technical assistance and organizing for business cooperatives (RES-16-00502); and,
WHEREAS, MCDC will continue to work in partnership with the City of Madison Economic Development Division to accomplish the goals of the program; and,
WHEREAS, the Cooperative Enterprise Development Program is included in the 2022 Economic Development Division Capital Budget; and,
WHEREAS, C4CS is the fiscal agent for the Madison Cooperative Development Coalition (MCDC)
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council approves the 2022 Scope of Services for a $300,000 contract with C4CS, as the fiscal agent of the Cooperative Enterprise Development Program; and,
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute said contracts and are authorized to execute, deliver, accept and record any and all documents and take such other actions as shall be necessary or desirable to accomplish the purpose of this resolution in a form approved by the City Attorney.
