Authorizing the execution of an Underground Electric Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across City Water Utility property located at 119 E. Olin Street.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison Water Utility ("Water Utility") is constructing a new office building and maintenance facility at 119 E. Olin Avenue ("Property"); and
 
WHEREAS, MG&E has requested a fifteen (15) foot wide underground electric easement ("Easement") across the Property to provide electrical service to the new Water Utility facility; and
 
WHEREAS, the Water Utility has reviewed and approves of the Easement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Easement with Madison Gas and Electric Company for the Easement described as follows:
 
Two strips of land, fifteen (15) feet in width, located in Lot 1, Certified Survey Map No. 10594, recorded as Document No. 3590296, In Volume 62, Pages 357-359 of Certified Survey Maps, Dane County Register of Deeds Office, lying in part of the SW ¼ of Section 25, Town 7 North, Range 9 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerlines of said strips being more particularly described as follows:
 
Commencing at the most Northerly corner of said Lot 1; thence S16°05'16"W, along the Westerly line of said Lot 1, 197 feet to a Point "A" and a point of beginning of the first said 15-foot-wide strip; thence S73°54'44"E, 70 feet to the point of termination.
 
Also commencing at said Point "A"; thence S16°05'16"W along said Westerly line, 281 feet to the point of beginning of the second said 15-foot-wide easement strip; thence S73°54'44"E, 110 feet to the point of termination.
The Easement is depicted as set forth on attached Exhibit A, dated September 14, 2004.
