Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution approves plans and specifications and authorizes the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the 2026 Resurfacing - Asphalt Patching. The total estimated cost of the project is $862,575. Funding is available in the 2026 Adopted Engineering - Major Streets Capital Budget (Munis #15930 - $308,100), the 2026 Adopted Operating Budget for the Sewer Utility ($88,175), and the 2026 Adopted Operating Budget for the Water Utility ($466,300). No additional appropriation is required.

Body

Included with this contract is asphalt base patching, patch by grind (mill/overlay), and infrared patching citywide per the established patching criteria. This contract primarily addresses spot locations of failing pavement to prolong the life of the pavement, and also coordinates with City utilities to complete street restoration and pavement patching work necessary from underground utility repairs made within the street.

 

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

1)                     That the plans and specifications for 2026 Resurfacing - Asphalt Patching be and are hereby approved.

 

2)                     That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3)                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
