Title
Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to award and execute a Contract for Professional Services with Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC for the survey, alternative study, permitting, final design and preparation of bidding documents for the John Nolen Bike Path Rehabilitation.  (4th & 13th ADs)
Body
WHEREAS the City of Madison plans to rehabilitate the John Nolen Bike Path for approximately 1000 feet south of North Shore Drive and particularly the approaches to the first two bridges; and
 
WHEREAS subsidence of the causeway embankment in these locations presents technical and regulatory challenges requiring specialized engineering expertise; and
 
WHEREAS City Engineering advertised for competitive proposals, reviewed the proposals received on the basis of qualifications and cost; and
 
WHEREAS City Engineering recommends selection of Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC to complete the work at a cost not to exceed $47,200 for basic services outlined in the Scope, with extra services for wetland delineation, mitigation permitting and for additional geotechnical investigation if needed at a cost not to exceed $14,800.
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a Contract with Foth Environment & Infrastructure, LLC to provide the engineering services for the John Nolen Bike Path Rehabilitation.

Cost not to exceed $62,000 for services under the scope.
