Landmark Nominations.

The Landmarks Commission, at its meeting of May 1, 2006, voted unanimously to recommend the designation as Landmarks of the following properties:
University of Wisconsin Dairy Barn, 1915 Linden Drive
Three people spoke in favor of the nomination including Gary Brown, UW Facilities Planning Director speaking on behalf of the University, which owns the building. Four others registered in support of the nomination.
Castle and Doyle Building, 125 State Street
One person spoke in favor of the nomination. Seven others registered in support. The owner, Mr. Langhammer, did not appear, but he also supports the nomination.
Davies House, 428 North Livingston Street
Four spoke in support of the nomination. Nine others registered in support. One person registered in opposition. Two spoke as neither supporting nor opposing the nomination on behalf of the owner. Two others registered as neither in support nor opposition.
Attached are copies of the nominations explaining how the properties meet the criteria for designation of a landmark in M.G.O. Sec. 33.01(4)a. Also attached are the minutes of the May 1, 206 Landmarks Commission meeting.
