Authorizing the City to enter into a one year agreement with the possibility of a one year renewal term with Madison Metropolitan School District for the use of city park land for adult baseball and softball programs by the Madison School Community Recreation.
Body
WHEREAS, Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) has approached the Parks Division to seek use of Bowman and Franklin Fields and Elver, Olbrich, and Warner Parks for 2005 School Community Recreation ("MSCR") adult softball and baseball programs; and
WHEREAS, MSCR has used City parks and fields in the past for its adult recreational softball and baseball programs; and
WHEREAS, MMSD will pay all maintenance costs and permitting fees as well as provide adequate general liability insurance and a damage deposit for MSCR's non-exclusive use of City parkland.
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement on behalf of the City with MSMD for MSCR's use of City parkland for 2005 adult baseball and softball programs; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement may be renewed for a one-year term upon terms mutually agreeable to the parties.
