Request from City Engineering for an extension off the Capital City Path (the Garver Path), from Olbrich Park to OB Sherry Park

City Engineering is proposing a project for a new multi-use path extension off of the Capital City Path from Sugar Ave to Milwaukee St. The proposed route would extend off of the existing railroad crossing at Sugar Ave, head east along an easement on the Garver Property, cross Starkweather Creek on a new pedestrian/bicycle bridge, north along a reconstructed Starkweather Dr, and continue along the creek edge through OB Sherry Park up to Milwaukee Street. A bridge replacement for the Ivy Street bridge is also proposed. The path is expected to extend further north along the creek as properties develop to connect more neighborhoods to the Capital City Path.
