Preamble
On February 13, 2001 the City of Madison, State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation and HNTB Corporation entered into a contract to prepare an Environmental Document and Design Study Report for the East Washington Avenue Project and to prepare the final plans and specifications for segments 1, 2 and 5.
Additional design services are required to complete the plans and specifications for the segment 2 construction. Additional services include detailing structural elements on the Yahara River Bridge do to changes required by the Federal Highway Administration, detailing aesthetic features on the Yahara River Bridge beyond what was anticipated in the contract, additional coordination with neighborhood groups and committees, additional coordination with City staff and neighborhood groups to determine the quotes for the Yahara River Bridge, right of way plat revisions, irrigation design, retaining wall design, cut stone step design, custom railing design, bridge plaque design as required by the State Historic Preservation Office, and custom under bridge lighting design.
NOW THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are here by authorized to execute an amendment to the present agreement between the City of Madison, State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation and HNTB Corporation, entitled, East Washington Avenue (Blair Street to Thierer Road), for additional services.
