Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution would create a new classification of Building and Trades Foreperson and delete the existing classification of Electrical Foreperson, and retitle the incumbents (#1497, 1785, 4454). The proposed resolution would also recreate the existing Plumber position (#4302) and Program Assistant position (#1095) as Public Works Forepersons, both to be filled internally. The annualized cost of the proposed reclassification and position recreations would be $18,986. The impact on the 2020 Engineering budget is approximately $5,523. Costs associated with the reclassification will be absorbed within Engineering’s 2020 budget.

Be it further resolved that positions #1497, #1785, and #4454 of Electrical Foreperson are deleted and recreated as Building and Trades Foreperson and current incumbents, P. Janes, D. Newson, and M. Parks are reallocated to the Building and Trades Foreperson positions, in the Parks, Water Utility, and Engineering operating budgets, respectively.

Be it further resolved that position #4302 of Plumber is deleted and recreated as a Building and Trades Foreperson and the incumbent of position #4302 will continue to underfill the position until the new position is filled.
