Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes an increase to the existing engineering design services contract for the Olbrich Botanical Gardens Expansion - Project 1. The resolution seeks to add $25,000 to the existing authorized contract amount of $1,050,000 for additional services being provided during the construction document and construction administration phases of the project. Funding for the increase will come from the existing project budget (Munis project 17193). The 2017 Adopted Capital Budget includes $500,000 in GO Borrowing and $4.5M in contributions/donations from Olbrich Botanical Society and the 2018 Adopted Capital Budget includes $4.5M in GO Borrowing for design and construction for this project.

The parties, the City of Madison ("City") and Meyer, Scherer, & Rockcastle, Ltd. ("Architect" or "Contractor") entered into a contract for the purchase of professional architectural design and construction administration services for Olbrich Botanical Gardens on April 6, 2017 RES17-00175 , and entered into Design Amendment #1 on June 13, 2018 RES18-00347 .
