Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution amends the 2025 Adopted Engineering - Facilities Management Capital Budget and authorizes a net-neutral transfer of $60,000 in existing General Obligation Borrowing from the General Facilities Improvement Program (Munis #10549) to the Senior Center Facility Improvements Program (Munis #14749). No additional appropriation is required.

Body

WHEREAS, City Engineering worked with City Purchasing to issue Request for Bids (RFB)13094-0-2025-BG for a roof replacement at the Madison Senior Center at 330 West Mifflin Street, and received two bids; and

 

WHEREAS, the lowest bid was $183,000 which is over the roof replacement estimate included in the 2025 Senior Center Facility Improvements program an additional $60,000 is needed to complete the project; and

 

WHEREAS, City Engineering recommends proceeding with the lowest bid; and

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2025 Adopted Capital Budget of Engineering-Facilities Management is hereby amended to transfer $60,000 of existing GO Borrowing from the General Facilities Improvement program to the Senior Center Facility Improvements program to fund the senior center roof replacement.
