That the lake rescue boat of the City of Madison Fire Department Lake Rescue Team carry the name "The Chamberlin" in honor of Firefighter (Ret.) Ralph E. Chamberlin.
Body
WHEREAS, the Madison Fire Department Lake Rescue Team is a vital part of emergency service delivery to the City of Madison since 1983; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Madison Fire Department continue to provide quality lake rescue service to the City of Madison; and
WHEREAS, Firefighter (Ret.) Ralph E. Chamberlin served the City of Madison from January 1964 to May 1989; and
WHEREAS, Firefighter (Ret.) Ralph E. Chamberlin played a critical role in leadership and development of the lake rescue team from its inception in 1983; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Madison recognize the Storm Hawk lake rescue boat as a vital tool to the current lake rescue team;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the lake rescue boat of the City of Madison Fire Department Lake Rescue Team carry the name "The Chamberlin" in honor of Firefighter (Ret.) Ralph E. Chamberlin.
