Title

A Resolution Declaring Need for the Housing Authority of Dane County, Wisconsin, to Exercise its Powers Within the City of Madison, Wisconsin

Body

Whereas, the Housing Authority of Dane County, Wisconsin (the “Authority”) from time to time undertakes housing projects within the City of Madison, Wisconsin (the “City”); and

Whereas, pursuant to Section 59.53(22)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes, the Authority may not undertake any housing project within the boundaries of the City unless a resolution has been adopted by the Common Council (the “Governing Body”) of the City declaring that there is a need for the Authority to exercise its powers within the City; and

Whereas, the Governing Body desires to facilitate housing projects within the City undertaken and to be undertaken by the Authority;

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Governing Body hereby declares that there is need for the Authority to exercise its powers within the City for the purpose of undertaking housing projects from time to time within the City.
