Title
Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to sign and execute an agreement with Zimbrick for purposes of tree removal in City's right of way at 1707 North Stoughton Road and related improvements &/or replacements and reciprocal tree planting at Reindahl Park.
Body
WHEREAS, Zimbrick operates a used car dealership and body shop at 1707 North Stoughton Road, Madison, Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, there are five (5) conifers and one (1) deciduous tree located in the City's right-of-way at 1707 North Stoughton Road which Zimbrick has proposed to remove in order to enhance the visibility of Zimbrick's business;
WHEREAS, the Madison Tree Board has reviewed and supports Zimbrick's request and has determined that removal of the trees will open sight lines for Community Action Coalition's food pantry and free clothing distribution center located near 1707 North Stoughton Road and will also provide better site access for patrons arriving and leaving by bus; and
WHEREAS, the parties have agreed upon an equitable and mutually beneficial plan for removal of the trees and replacement of public improvements at 1707 North Stoughton Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City and Zimbrick are authorized to execute an Agreement that provides for the removal of six (6) trees in the City's right-of-way at 1707 North Stoughton Road and related improvements and replacements, and reciprocal tree planting.
