Fiscal Note
Under the terms of this agreement, the soccer organization would provide all of the equipment, labor, and materials necessary to assume the maintenance, mowing, and upkeep of four soccer fields at Reindahl Community Park. In exchange, the organization would be allowed priority scheduling benefits. No appropriation is required.

To authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign and execute a three (3) year Renewal Agreement with Madison Football Club, Inc. for priority field scheduling at four (4) soccer fields at Reindahl Community Park in exchange for Madison Football Club, Inc. maintaining said fields.

Preamble
In 2000, the Parks Division formally acknowledged its consideration of establishing public/private partnerships in the community as a viable option of service delivery in the community and has been accepted by the citizens in Madison. Under that concept, the Princeton Soccer Club, Inc. entered into an Agreement with the City of Madison to operate its soccer program at Reindahl Community Park in exchange for maintaining four soccer fields. Princeton Soccer Club, Inc. has since changed its name and now operates its soccer program under the name Madison Football Club, Inc. and has successfully organized soccer leagues in the City of Madison and has provided maintenance support to park fields for several years. The Parks Division has successfully entered into similar Agreements with several other soccer organizations.
WHEREAS, the Renewal Agreement will extend priority field scheduling to Madison Football Club, Inc., in exchange for Madison Football Club, Inc., maintaining four City-owned soccer fields in Reindahl Park; and
WHEREAS, youth and adult soccer teams not affiliated with Madison Football Club, Inc., will have the opportunity to schedule fields maintained by Madison Football Club, Inc., at least one (1) day per week.
