Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute Addendum No. 2 to the Contract for Professional Services with Strand Associates Inc. to review/study the condition of the Lake Wingra Dam.  (15th AD)
Body
WHEREAS, The City of Madison has previously entered into a contract for Professional Services with Strand Associates Inc. to review/study the condition of the Lake Wingra Dam, in accord with orders from the WDNR; and
 
WHEREAS, Strand has completed previous work on the Starkweather Creek Floodplain for the City of Madison; and
 
WHEREAS, Strand is currently working on a floodplain analysis of Starkweather Creek, for the City, as part of the Dane County FEMA restudy; and
 
WHEREAS, additional new floodplain analysis is necessary to determine the alignment of the proposed bike path along Starkweather from East Washington to Aberg; and   
 
WHEREAS, Strand & Associates are qualified to do this work and have indicated that they can complete it in accord within the City's time requirement:
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk area authorized to execute addendum #2  to the existing Lake Wingra Dam agreement with Strand Associates Inc. to provide additional consulting services, as further detailed in the scope of services, for the Starkweather Creek Floodplain Study.
