The proposed resolution approves plans, and specifications for the installation of traffic signals at the Southwest Commuter Bike Path and West Washington Avenue. The estimated cost of the signal installation is $300,000. Funding for this work is available within Traffic Engineering's Traffic Signal Installation capital program. Transportation Improvement District 48 (TID 48) shall transfer $300,000.00 into the Traffic Engineering’s Traffic Signal Installation capital program, as outlined in Legistar file 88726; RES-25-00411.

Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Madison declaring its intention to transfer funds from TID 48 to Traffic Engineering’s Traffic Signal Installation capital program for installation of traffic signals at the Southwest Commuter Bike Path & West Washington Avenue, and all other statutory requirements, pursuant to Section 66.0703(4), Wis. Statutes; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works having reported on all the proceedings in relation to the installation of traffic signals at the Southwest Commuter Bike Path & West Washington Avenue in accordance with Section 66.0701 of the Wisconsin Statutes and having in all things duly conformed to the order of the Common Council in relation thereto, and the provisions of the Madison General Ordinances and the Wisconsin Statutes in such case made and provided, and the Common Council being fully advised;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

1. That traffic signals shall be installed at the Southwest Commuter Bike Path & West Washington Avenue;

2. That the City at large is justly chargeable with and shall pay 100% of the entire cost of the said improvement by transferring funds set aside with Transportation Improvement District 48 to the Traffic Engineering’s Traffic Signal Install...
