Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes the Fleet Service Division to enter into a competitively selected contract with Lakeside International, LLC (Lakeside) for heavy duty vehicle maintenance and repair services. Under the provisions of the contract, Lakeside will charge the Fleet Service Division an hourly labor rate of $151.86 in 2026, $159.45 in 2027, and $167.42 in 2028. Funding for 2026 maintenance and repair services is available in the Fleet Service Division's 2026 Adopted Operating Budget. Funding for 2027 and 2028 will be approved through future budget request processes. No additional appropriation is required.

WHEREAS, the Fleet Service Division relies on vendors to complete certain maintenance and complicated repair services on heavy duty trucks when it is no longer efficient or cost-effective to perform the work itself; and

WHEREAS, the Fleet Service Division worked with the Purchasing Division to issue RFQ #5434-0-2025-TJ to solicit proposals for such services, and received two proposals; and

WHEREAS, an evaluation team consisting of Purchasing and relevant Fleet Service Division staff conducted a detailed evaluation, scored and ranked each of the proposals using criteria including cost, skill, equipment, past performance, and references; and Lakeside International, LLC was selected through this process; and

WHEREAS, Lakeside International, LLC proposed an hourly labor rate of $151.86 for 2026, $159.45 for 2027, and $167.42 for 2028; and

WHEREAS, the cost for repair services from Lakeside International, LLC has exceeded $100,000 over the last two years; and

WHEREAS, the City’s RFQ advertised the contract as a three-year contract; and
