Fiscal Note

Sufficient funds are available in the 2006 Operating Budget to fund the 2.5% current year compensation cost increase associated with this agreement.  An additional 3.3% effective increase for 2007 will be incorporated into future year budgets.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Labor Agreement between the City of Madison and Dane County Municipal Employees, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, for the period of January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2007.

Be it resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a Labor Agreement  determined by an arbitrator's award in interest arbitration between the City of Madison and Dane County Municipal Employees Local 60, AFSCME, AFL-CIO for the period January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2007.
