The proposed resolution authorizes an extension to the agreement with Harris Golf Carts, Inc. to support the lease of a golf cart fleet for one additional year at a total estimated cost of $124,600. The 2021 Adopted Operating Budget for the Golf Enterprise includes $124,600 in purchased services funding to support a contract for a golf cart fleet. No additional appropriation is required.

Authorizing the City to extend the current agreement with Harris Golf Cars, Inc. for the lease of a golf cart fleet for a one (1) year additional term for the City of Madison Golf Courses.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison Parks Division leases a golf cart fleet for use at its four municipal golf courses; and,
WHEREAS, the current contract will expire on December 31, 2020; and,
WHEREAS, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the Task Force on Municipal Golf final report, which was anticipated to include recommendations that the Council could adopt to change the Golf Program in 2021; and,
WHEREAS, Harris Golf Cars agreed to extend the agreement for leases for an additional year since COVID has delayed manufacturing of golf cart inventory to vendors and is unable to get new fleet of golf carts to provide new contract terms; and,
WHEREAS, Harris proposed the one (1) year additional term not to exceed $124,600; and,
WHEREAS, Harris Golf Cars has successfully provided golf cart fleet services to the City of Madison for the past four years; and,
WHEREAS, under MGO 4.26(3) service contracts of more than three years in duration require approval of the Common Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute document(s) as necessary in a form approved by the City Attorney, with Harris Golf Cars, Inc. for the purposes and at the price described above, for an additional one (1) year term.
