Request by MG&E to install a new gas main on Woods Rd from Hwy PD to Midtown Rd, west on Midtown Rd to Meadow Rd, north on Meadow Rd to Valley View Rd,west on Valley View Rd to Pioneer Rd and north on Pioneer Rd to Mineral Point Rd.

Madison Gas & Electric Company is proposing to install a new gas main on Woods Rd from Hwy PD to Midtown Rd, west on Midtown Rd to Meadow Rd, north on Meadow Rd to Valley View Rd,west on Valley View Rd to Pioneer Rd and north on Pioneer Rd to Mineral Point Rd.  This work is being designated as a Far West-side System Improvement Project.

 

There will be a public hearing before the City of Madison Board of Public Works on this project on May 20, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in room 108 of the City-County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

 

This work will be performed in June through September, 2009 pending Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, City of Madison, Dane County, Town of Middleton, and Town of Verona approvals.  The work will be done in the streets and street terraces.  Work will be done by Madison Gas & Electric Company and a contracted construction company as yet to be determined.  All work will be done in accordance with the City Forester's Tree Care Standards, the City of Madison, Dane County, Town of Middleton, and Town of Verona Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction and / or the special conditions of approval on the Permit to Excavate in Public Right-of-Way issued by the City, County, and Towns.  Restoration will follow work as required.
