Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution approves plan documents for the Siggelkow Road pavement resurfacing and utility improvement project. In the adopted 2018 capital budget, Engineering Major Streets has budgeted $15.5 million within the Pavement Management capital program for the resurfacing of streets throughout the City. The City of Madison's cost of the proposed project for the Siggelkow Road resurfacing and utility improvements is estimated at $208,000. The City of Madison's portion of project funding is provided by GO Borrowing and associated utility funding. The Village of McFarland will be the lead on the project, and will be paying $1,072,000.

PREAMBLE
The Village of McFarland and the City of Madison have scheduled the resurfacing Siggelkow Road from Terminal Drive to Marsh Road. A portion of the Siggelkow Road Right of way currently is split between the Village of McFarland and the City of Madison. The Segment of the Street west of Marsh Road will be widened to install bike lanes on both sides of the road and will be resurfaced with new asphalt pavement under a Village of McFarland contract. The Village of McFarland and the City of Madison will each be responsible for the cost to resurface their share of Siggelkow Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
1 - That the plans and specifications for 2018 Street & Utility Improvements - Siggelkow Road
are hereby approved.
2 - That the Mayor and the City Clerk are herby authorized to execute an agreement with the Village of McFarland for cost sharing the project.
