I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen appointments. "Statement of Interests" forms are on file in the City Clerk's Office for those citizens required to file.
ALLIED DRIVE TASK FORCE (for information)
County Executive Appointment:
COUNTY SUPV. CAROUSEL BAYRD, 4901 Sherwood Rd., 53711 (20th A.D.) - County Executive Kathleen Falk has appointed Supv. Bayrd to the position of County Supervisor of the Area. She succeeds Robert Fyrst.
BROADBAND TELECOMMUNICATIONS REGULATORY BOARD
CYNTHIA J. LAITMAN, 3001 Grandview Blvd., 53713-3435 (14th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Laitman is a senior editor at the UW-Madison Medical School. She is involved with issues of mass communication and the media by education, by profession and by civic interest. She succeeds D. Richard Rasmussen who did not wish to be reappointed.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2009.
MADISON ARTS COMMISSION
LESLEE J. NELSON, 614 Welch Ave., 53704-5868 (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Nelson is a professor at the UW-Madison, teaching graduate-level classes on writing grants and developing project proposals. She is an advisor to the Wisconsin Regional Artists Association and has served as a grants juror for the Wisconsin Arts Board and the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission. She succeeds Helen Klebesadel who resigned.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2008.
