Title

Authorizing the appointment of an additional alderperson member to the Advisory Oversight Committee for Madison's Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance and an additional alderperson member to the Tax Incremental Financing Policy Committee and making the initial member appointments.

Body

WHEREAS, the Advisory Oversight Committee for Madison's Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance was created by RES-06-00598, ID 04169, and, although it does contain three (3) members of the Plan Commission any one or more of which could also be Alderpersons, the said resolution does not provide that an Alderperson shall be appointed; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to add an Alderperson member to assure representation from the Council on the said Advisory Oversight Committee; and

WHEREAS, the Tax Incremental Financing Policy Committee was created by RES-06-00850, ID 04562, and there is a need to also add an additional Alderperson member for greater representation from the Council on this Committee.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Advisory Oversight Committee for Madison's Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance and the Tax Incremental Financing Policy Committee each be increased by one additional member and that the additional members shall be Alderpersons to be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Common Council to a two-year term; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Ald. Brenda Konkel be appointed to both such new committee membership positions for an initial term to expire on April 21, 2009.
