Fiscal Note

Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement will not exceed $60,000.  Funds for this work are included in the approved 2006 Water Utility Operations Budget.  Acct:  EW01-54901-640000. 

Title

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with Black and Veatch Corporation for the preparation of the Utilities Water Master Plan and the Infrastructure Management Plan to include ongoing specialized work required by the Water Utility.

Body

Whereas Madison Water Utility has retained Black and Veatch Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri to complete an update of the Utility's Water Master Plan and to prepare a Facilities Management Plan; and

Whereas work on these Plans is anticipated to be completed by June 1, 2006, and

Whereas Madison Water Utility has the need for additional ongoing specialized services in relation to the implementation of the completed Plans and the overall operation of the Utility.

Whereas when additional ongoing specialized services are identified, the Water Utility will negotiate a scope of services and develop a budget and a task order will be issued.

Now therefore be it resolved that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with Black and Veatch Corporation not to exceed $60,000 for additional services.
